What you are going to do

As an AI Engineer in the GenAI & Data team, you design, build, and run GenAI-powered applications that automate complex operational processes within Inkomen Collectief. You work across multiple empowered product teams with data scientists, engineers, and business experts to deliver AI that actually lands in production.

You will:

• Develop and maintain GenAI applications such as document extraction, agentic AI flows, and automated decision-support tools that smoothen the claim handling process for our customers and claim handlers
• Bring AI models and agents into production and integrate them into the NN landscape (APIs, pipelines, monitoring, governance)
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists and Product Owners to refine requirements and improve the AI lifecycle
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and compliance through CI/CD, testing, and observability
• Continuously improve performance through optimization, caching strategies, and feedback loops

Who you are

You are someone who enjoys solving real business problems with AI — not just building models, but landing them. You thrive in a fast-learning, collaborative environment and enjoy delivering end-to-end solutions.

You have:

• Strong engineering skills in Python and experience with GenAI frameworks (e.g., LLMs, OCR / DocIntelligence, RAG)
• Experience building and deploying   GenAI solutions in production environments
• A product mindset: you think in outcomes, not output, and you iterate quickly with your stakeholders
• A focus on quality: testing, monitoring, performance tuning, and secure development are natural to you
• Curiosity, ownership, and a practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
• Experience with Azure infrastructure is a plus
• 4+ years of experience in AI engineering, data science and/or data engineering
• Background in Computer Science, Econometrics, Mathematics
• Dutch & English proficiency (C1+)
