As a Data Analyst at NN Bank, you play a crucial role in our journey towards becoming a truly data-driven organization. Together with your team, you will work on building an advanced Savings, Investments & Bank Insurance data lake within Azure, using state-of-the-art tools such as DeltaLake, ADF, Databricks and PySpark.

What you are going to do
Translate requirements and map Payments data for financial reporting, marketing insights and business intelligence purposes
Design and continuously improve dashboards and reports
Support Data Engineers in building and testing reports and dashboards
Evaluate data quality and dashboards, and clearly explain outcomes to end users
Closely collaborate with teams within NN Bank Payments, Finance, Tax & Legal to deliver reports to the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) and the Tax Authorities
Actively follow NN Bank’s Data Governance & Data Quality Management policies

Who you are
A completed HBO or WO (Bachelor’s or Master’s) degree in Data Analytics/Data Science, Econometrics, IT or Finance, combined with at least 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in an international environment
Knowledge of Azure components such as DeltaLake, ADF and Databricks; experience with CI/CD, Azure DevOps, scripting in Python (PySpark), and Agile methodologies such as DevOps and Scrum
Strong analytical and logical skills, with extensive experience in writing complex SQL and Python queries and processing structured data
Proven knowledge and experience with data analysis methods and applying them within business processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Affinity with financial reporting is a plus, including the ability to clearly translate complex analyses into insights for stakeholders at different levels
A proactive mindset, with attention to detail as well as an overview of the bigger picture and business context; a team-oriented attitude to challenge each other on complex analyses, reporting and advice
Experience within the banking or mortgage domain is a strong advantage

The NN Payments domain consists of over 100 colleagues across various teams, including the Payments Data Lake team. This team is responsible for delivering data for Financial Reporting, Marketing and Business Insights. You will work closely with two engineers and a Product Owner.
