The Head of Corporate Security & Investigations (“Head CSI”) is responsible for protecting the people, assets, information and reputation of NN Group globally. The role sets and drives the global Corporate Security & Investigations strategy and standards and advises the Management Board (“MB”) and other senior executives on current and emerging security and integrity risks, ensuring timely senior-level attention and action. The Head CSI acts as a trusted advisor to NN Group’s senior management and leads NN Group’s investigations capability, while ensuring an integrated approach to corporate personal and physical security and enhanced screening.
What you are going to do
As Head CSI, you will lead NN Group’s global investigations capability and provide strategic direction for corporate personal and physical security and integrity-sensitive screening. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, bringing the authority, presence and credibility required to influence decision-making and ensure that security and integrity considerations are understood and acted upon at all levels. You will lead complex and sensitive investigations, advise the Management Board and other senior executives, and help safeguard NN Group’s people, assets, information and reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigations & Integrity:
Oversee the global investigations framework to ensure objective and timely assessments of irregularities
Ensure effective triage, review and follow-up of reports received through management or relevant reporting channels, including appropriate escalation to senior management or governance bodies where required
Identify trends and root causes from investigations to strengthen our control environment
Manage the integrity-sensitive screening framework for pre-employment and in-employment assessments
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement a comprehensive, risk-based security strategy across NN Group
Set and drive the global Corporate Security & Investigations strategy, ensuring a coherent approach to security, investigations, intelligence, resilience and integrity across NN Group
Establish global security and integrity standards, overseeing their governance and monitoring
Provide informed advice to the Management Board on emerging security and integrity risks
Security & Resilience:
Set and enforce global standards for physical security, executive protection, and travel security
Assess geopolitical and societal threats to enhance organisational resilience
Intelligence & Risk:
Build a corporate intelligence capability to proactively identify emerging threats
Translate geopolitical developments into actionable impact assessments for NN Group
Maintain robust relationships with authorities to enhance situational awareness
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary representative of Corporate Security & Investigations to external partners and regulators
Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, HR, and other functions for a unified approach to risk management
Cultivate an international network within security and investigations communities for benchmarking and cooperation

Salary between € 9.700 and € 12.934 (40 hours a week) depending on your knowledge and experience

Who you are You are a seasoned professional with a strong background in corporate security and investigations, equipped with the expertise to navigate complex stakeholder environments. Your extensive experience and educational foundation enable you to approach security challenges with authority, independence, and sound judgment. You thrive in high-pressure situations and possess the leadership qualities necessary to advise senior management effectively.
Education:
At least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Criminology, Law, Public Administration, Business Administration, Security Studies, or a related field
Additional training in security, investigations, risk management, or leadership is advantageous
Experience:
A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in corporate security, intelligence, investigations, law enforcement, or a comparable environment, ideally within an international or highly regulated organisation
Proven track record in a senior international leadership role within a complex stakeholder environment
Demonstrable experience in leading or overseeing crisis management, high-impact incidents, and sensitive investigations
Experience in advising management boards, executive committees, and supervisory bodies on security, integrity, investigations, and risk-related matters
Fluent in both Dutch and English, with strong spoken and written communication skills
Proven ability to operate with authority, independence, and sound judgment in sensitive and high-pressure situations
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of Corporate Security Governance
Proficient in Internal (Corporate) Investigations
Knowledgeable in Crisis Management and Business Continuity
Familiar with Insider Risk Management and Executive Protection
Expertise in Threat Intelligence and Compliance and Integrity

As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with NN Group’s senior management and Board members, providing clear, risk-based and strategic advice to support informed decision-making. You will build strong relationships across the organisation and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to drive alignment, influence outcomes and contribute to the successful delivery of NN Group’s strategic objectives.
