As a AI Engineering Lead you’ll be at the heart of this transformation. You will shape the architecture, quality, and engineering standards of AI components published in the NN AI asset marketplace—enabling teams across NN to build smarter, faster.
Your impact:
As a AI Engineering Lead you define the technical direction and set the bar for engineering excellence. From architecture to implementation, you ensure our AI assets are scalable, secure, and built to last. You’ll work closely with product managers, (Gen)AI engineers, and stakeholders across the business to translate real-world needs into robust, reusable AI solutions.
What you are going to do
Define and continuously improve engineering standards for reusable Generative AI components
Lead the technical architecture of the NN AI asset marketplace
Ensure high-quality delivery through code reviews, best practices, and clear documentation
Guide teams in building scalable, secure, and production-ready AI solutions
Collaborate with asset squads and data scientists to drive reuse and innovation
Support forward deployment and cross-hopping engineers in delivering solutions locally

Salary between €6,378 and €8,504 based on 36 hours per week, depending on your knowledge and experience

Who you are
You’re a senior engineer with a passion for building high-quality AI solutions and enabling others to do the same. You thrive in a fast-moving environment and enjoy combining hands-on engineering with technical leadership.
You bring:
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
7+ years of experience in software engineering and technical leadership
Proven experience in defining and implementing engineering standards
Strong expertise in Python, CI/CD, Azure cloud, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
Experience with agentic frameworks and reusable AI components
Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to mentor others and effectively manage stakeholders
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to navigate change in the Tech & Data landscape and drive initiatives forward
Nice to have: You actively contribute to the AI community—whether through public speaking, knowledge sharing, or presenting at conferences on Generative AI topics.
Who you will work with
You will be part of the Asset Reuse Team (ART) within the AI Center of Excellence, collaborating with Product Managers, Architects and (Gen)AI Engineers. You will also engage with business unit teams, guilds, and forward deployment engineers to ensure scalable deployment and continuous improvement of AI assets.
