The IT Manager at NN Bank is a crucial role responsible for driving the bank's technology transformation and simplification. You will act as the key liaison between the Payments, Savings, Investment & Bancassurance departments (PSC) and the technology department, serving as a "linking pin" between these value streams. Your primary objective is to strengthen the technology organization and drive empower product teams to achieve maximum focus and productivity.

The responsibilities of the IT Manager for PSC are:
Technology Transformation
As IT Manager you are instrumental in driving NN Bank's Technology Transformation strategy, a strategy which requires close collaboration with third-party partners. Additionally, you will need to have a either a strong understanding of retail banking or a keen interest to understand retail banking, as this is imperative for the success of the bank's technology initiatives. Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring that the technical transformation is effectively translated into associated OKRs that are determined bank-wide and embedded throughout your teams.
Technology Workforce management
As IT Manager, you will be responsible for managing your technology workforce, ensuring that our colleagues are equipped with the necessary competencies and skills to perform their job effectively. This will involve determining NN Bank's strategic technology workforce development and continuously developing the expertise level of technology employees in accordance with NN guidelines. As both domains are heavily dependent on 3rd parties, workforce management will be done integrally leveraging external capabilities. You will manage the capacity (in / external resourcing) within your teams to support the PCS departments.
Ultimately, your role will be crucial in ensuring that NN Bank's technology workforce is well-equipped to tackle the challenges.
Technology risk management
As the IT Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring that your teams operate within the defined technology risk posture. This will require close collaboration with the business departments to ensure that all technology-related activities are aligned with NN Bank's risk posture and regulatory requirements. Your role will be to provide guidance and resolve impediments to the product teams on best practices and to monitor their activities to ensure that they remain within the defined risk posture. Additionally, you will be responsible for integrating and enforcing Technology and security policies/standards and controls within PCS ensure that our technology initiatives adhere to the highest levels of compliance.
Ultimately, your role will be crucial in ensuring that the technology initiatives are carried out in a safe and secure manner, in line with NN Bank's risk posture and regulatory requirements.
Finance As IT Manager technology you will manage the technology resourcing budget for your teams. You actively contribute to shaping and managing the cost-effective technology run set up (for years to come).
Link to PSC departments As IT Manager you will strengthening and unburdening the business departments as the person ultimately responsible for technology. By taking the responsibility for critical SAAS outsourcing parties on the tactical supplier relationship and Tech Security Operations management. You will define and propagate the current, desired and transition architecture and guidelines in collaboration with architects. And ensure that initiatives are delivered based on agreed guardrails and standards.

Who you are
Experienced IT/Engineering manager > 5 years. Preferably Experienced in in the Dutch financial sector. Experience on mobile & online developments, safe & reliable banking is a plus
Experienced in SAAS supplier management on tactical level and managing technology expertise teams
Being an Interlocutor towards our business is crucial for being successful in this role
Strong in stakeholder management with peers and inspiring tech leadership style to be able to guide people in a technology transformation
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field/ WO working and thinking level
Who you will work with
The IT Manager works within the T&O/PSC department and manages approx. 15-20 engineers (including externals). The total Technology domain PSC consists of approximately 70 employees. The IT Manager is part of the MT PSC and reports to the Manager Tech PSC of NN Bank.
In addition to this hierarchical line, the Technology Manager has a functional line to the domain leads of SIBA and Payments in order to involve these NN Bank departments in the Technology transformation. In particular, direction is given to how the technical delivery and run are carried out.
