Within the Data Office, we build impactful AI solutions that digitize key processes forNon-Life(Schade &Inkomen), such as Claims. You create AI solutions for operational teams like Underwriting and Claims and take ownership of end-to-end delivery,from design to production and post-deployment reliability,while influencing standards across teams.

You understand how to help your colleagues from the business translate their wishes into AI solutions, and you take pride in transforming these into robust, production-gradeAI solutions. With your solution-oriented and proactive mindset, you design the best AI solution for business problems together with your team, and you realize this using our AI toolkit. We work with colleagues from the business on projects that often span multiple months.
Specifically, you bring AI solutions into production so that your solutions truly create value for our company tomorrow. Researching and applyingnew technologyplaysan important role.You use state-of-the-arttoolssuch as AI as a Service and LLMs, like Cognitive Services and OpenAI.Additionally, you actively contribute to innovation within NN. During our monthly innovation day, you and your colleagues explore which new techniquesare applicableto our company.

Key responsibilities include:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI solutions and APIs in close collaboration with business, ML engineering,platformand integration teams. Define clear contracts, testingstrategiesand observability standards to ensure reliableproductionoperation.
Architect and implement scalable AI applications and components using LLMs and agentic frameworks.
Bring AI models to production as scalable APIs and integrations within the NN landscape.
Extract and generalize reusable AI modules from project work; driveassetizationso components can be adopted across NN.
Define and champion AI engineering best practices (coding standards, design guidelines, testing/evaluation frameworks) and ensure their adoption through code reviews and mentorship.
Mentor and coach engineers and data scientiststhroughpair programming, design reviewsandlearning sessions.
Continuously contribute to innovation initiatives and explorenew technologiesforassetizationand reuse.
Translate business requirements into reusable AI solutions and present them to stakeholders.

Who you are
You are aseniorengineer with a strong software engineering background, who is results-oriented and enjoys turning business needs into robust software. You are especially motivated to drive the adoption of our AI solutions. Your open attitude and clear communication help you collaborate effectively withboth technical and non-technical stakeholders. Additionally, you have:
At least 4 years of experience working in a professional software engineering environment,deliveringand operating production systems.
Mentorship experience, including leading code reviews and driving design reviews.
A plus if you have experience in designing AI solutions or applications using Gen AI (e.g.LLM Workflows, agentic frameworks) based on business requirements is a plus
A plus if you have experience with RAG systems,LLMOps(e.g.prompt management, evaluations)
A plus if you have experience building reusable Python libraries/SDKs for other teams: clear interfaces, semantic versioning, and packaging.

You’llcollaborate daily withAI Engineers/Data Scientists, supported by a team of ML engineers and software engineers who help the team put the work into production, and a program manager who frames our activities.
