As a CI/CD Platform Engineer in The Hague, you work on the foundations that support software delivery at NN. You build and integrate the tools and services that teams rely on to develop, test, and deploy applications securely and efficiently. By strengthening these shared platforms, you contribute to NN’s ambition to support change and help ensure reliable digital services for customers and society.

What you are going to do

In this role, you shape and evolve NN’s CI/CD platforms that are used by engineers throughout the organisation. The focus is on creating stable, scalable solutions that integrate seamlessly into the broader IT landscape. You balance standardisation with flexibility, making sure tooling supports a wide range of teams while meeting security and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing Python-based automation to remove manual operational work and reduce toil for engineers
  • Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK to support secure and scalable platforms
  • Supporting internal CDaaS users by answering operational questions and improving how tools are used
  • Contributing to platform improvements that automate security, compliance and developer enablement

What we offer you

NN invests in an inclusive, inspiring work environment and in skills and competences for the future. We match this with employee benefits that are in line with what is needed today and in the future. This way, we offer our employees the opportunity to get the best out of themselves. We offer you:

  • Salary between €4,527 and €6,036, based on 36 hours and depending on your knowledge and experience
  • 13th month and holiday allowance are paid with your monthly salary
  • 27 vacation days for a 5-day working week and three Diversity Days
  • A modern pension administered by BeFrank
  • Plenty of training and learning opportunities
  • NS Business Card 2nd class, which gives you unlimited travel, also privately.
  • Do you prefer to travel with your own transport? Then you can declare the kilometers travelled
  • Allowances for setting up your home office and for internet use

At NN, we work in a hybrid way. In consultation with your team, you’ll determine where and when you work. Your official workplace is The Hague.

Who you are

You enjoy collaborating closely with colleagues, learning together through practices such as pair or mob programming, and continuously improving how tools and services are used. Making complex topics, such as security and compliance easier for engineers, comes naturally to you.

You also have:

  • The ability to develop Python code that automates operational work and reduces manual effort
  • Hands-on involvement with infrastructure as code, for example, by working with AWS CDK or similar tools
  • Practical knowledge of Kubernetes within a professional engineering environment
  • A track record of supporting internal users by answering operational questions and improving platform usability
  • A strong focus on improving developer experience through automation of security, compliance and delivery workflows

Who you will work with

You will join the CI/CD Platform Team, part of NN’s Engineering Experience & Platforms domain. The team comprises a diverse group of platform engineers with various backgrounds and areas of expertise, working closely together to support engineers across the organisation. The atmosphere is open and collaborative, with a strong focus on knowledge sharing, pair programming and continuous improvement. Team members regularly gather at the office on Wednesdays, where working side by side and participating in team activities strengthen collaboration.
