From busy self-employed to structure in employment with Group Finance
Meet Derrick, an Investment Professional within Finance. In this podcast episode, you will hear Derrick's story. He was always busy, but only discovered at a later age that ADHD was the cause. Together with a psychologist, he discovered how to best manage it. At his employer NN, he is fully supported. His colleagues at Group Finance are always there for him, and his manager even paired him with a Czech colleague with whom Derrick forms the perfect team.
And then there is also the Neurodiversity Network, in which Derrick is involved to help colleagues with various forms of neurodiversity function optimally. He learned to turn his weakness into strength. In this episode, he shares his unique perspective on his work because of his ADHD. At NN, he discovered the importance of structure and routine and became involved in the D&I network, where he encourages everyone to be open about their unique characteristics.
