The online InFinance magazine was published on Tuesday 31st October, featuring a retrospective on HypoVak 2023. This magazine, which will also be distributed in hard copy format in mid-November, includes a dual interview with Hans Buursink, Domain Lead Mortgages at NN Bank, and the winner of the election for 'Most inspiring advisor of the Netherlands 2023'.
Inspiration is needed to become better every day
In the interview, Hans discusses the extent of sustainability and the many challenges that still lie ahead in the coming years in terms of sustainability. Even if you currently live in a home with an A+ label, you will still need to work on sustainability. In addition, Hans explains the idea behind the election of the most inspiring advisor: "Inspiration is needed to become better every day; it prompts reflection and change. The stories of advisors we collect are all worth listening to. You can extract the elements from those stories that apply to your advisory practice and that also suit you. By learning from each other, we make the Netherlands a better place together."
Nationale-Nederlanden inspires and supports
Hans also mentions a number of initiatives by Nationale-Nederlanden to inspire advisors in the field of sustainable housing and to support them in their transition to sustainable financial housing advisors. For example, with the sustainability platform Powerly. NN Mortgages is also exploring the possibilities of connecting advisors with a network of local knowledge partners in the field of sustainability. They may come to the advisory office for a 'sustainability consultation' one day a week. This way, everything the customer needs for sustainable housing is brought together in the mortgage advisor's office. "With this, we want to contribute to a new advisory model for the advisor," says Hans.
Sustainability in the advisory conversation
On behalf of Nationale-Nederlanden, Hans presented the award for the Most Inspiring Advisor of the Netherlands 2023 to Siska Danhoff of Lamberink Financial Advisors. She explains in this interview how she has made sustainability part of her advisory conversations, including by holding those conversations in the Woonwensfabriek inspiration center. Making sustainable housing immediately visible triggers and inspires customers to really get started with it. In addition, Lamberink's real estate branch is affiliated with GavoorA. This national collaboration between real estate agents, sustainability experts, and installers completely takes care of consumers in the sustainability of their newly purchased home.

Finally, the article also highlights the three other nominees for the Most Inspiring Advisor of the Netherlands 2023 and their inspiring stories: Gabor Kovacs of BSB Verzekeringen from Geleen, Gera Janssen of Vannu from Arnhem, and Jore Theeuwes of Van Loon from Dordrecht.
